Since 2013, through its Bâtir Agir Foundation, Kolos has been committed to addressing skills development challenges within the construction sector by providing specialised masonry training. This year, ten participants successfully completed 130 hours of theoretical and practical training covering both traditional and modern masonry techniques.

Delivered in partnership with the Mauritius Institute of Training and Development (MITD), the programme is offered entirely free of charge. Upon completion, participants received a certificate recognising both their commitment and the knowledge acquired throughout the training.

To date, nearly 400 participants have successfully graduated from the École des Maçons.

“The primary objective of the École des Maçons remains the valorisation of the masonry profession. As Kolos prepares to celebrate its 25th anniversary next year, the École des Maçons will also mark twelve years of existence. “Our long-term vision is to expand the programme’s impact and help provide the nation with qualified masons, site supervisors, and entrepreneurs. This is why we aspire to transform the École des Maçons into an accredited training centre: “l’Académie des Maçons ”
